| Leading The Way In Construction Project Management Through Software Systems |
 |
It was in 1999 that Brian Reimer, one of the three of Evoco’s founders, had an idea to share CADD designs via the Internet. He was looking for a business opportunity that would allow him to leverage his personal interest in architecture and he found it: founding a software company and developing an application that would enable real estate owners and construction companies to better manage their projects and their properties.
Evoco’s founders, Brian Reimer, Alice Reimer and Sean Fynn, started the venture with the idea of targeting the homebuilders market - architects, construction companies, consultants and commercial real estate owners. However, it didn’t take long for the company to realize the opportunites afforded by two very different segments: the retail sector and chain restaurants (QSR).
Reimer set out to simplify the administration behind the building process for construction companies, throughout their real estate portfolios: streamlining project workflows, clarifying initial construction costs as well as the ongoing costs and achieving environmental and governmental compliances. As far as Reimer could see, no other company was doing what he and his co-founders intended do.
The Concept
Evoco streamlines workflow systems through it’s innovative computer software systems to aid in the overall efficiency, organization and cost savings of various companies in the real estate sector. Evoco improves energy efficiency and life long management of real estate; they also aid in the communication between various players in the building process and help minimize both upfront and lifetime costs.
Bringing Evoco to Life
| Evoco’s founders recognized a number of problems in the real estate development sector: there was no management system for online drawings and blueprints, there was a lack of organization in communications during the bidding process and there was a need for prototype management. As a result, real estate developers were spending unnecessary funds for blueprint and drawing print outs and courier If Evoco could provide a software management tool that would reduce or eliminate costs such as these, the founders believed they would undoubtedly create and dominate a niche market - and they were right. |
