| The Alberta Geomatics Group (AGG) was formed in 1998 to facilitate the prosperous development and growth of the Alberta geomatics industry. The AGG is comprised of cross-section of Alberta geomatics community and has a membership of over 138 companies and agencies represented by over 611 people. The AGG strives to actively create opportunities for business networking, assist members in professional and market development, and facilitate geomatics education through monthly informational seminars. The AGG is also your voice in advising government in the development of programs to assist the Alberta and Canadian geomatics industry.
As our industry continues to mature and grow so to must the AGG in order to properly and adequately represent its constituents. To meet this need, the AGG relies heavily on its members and sponsors to support through volunteer and financial resources. In addition, with your sponsorship the AGG will be able to continue to offer special discounts to our Student members, as well as present various topical workshops and seminars. Corporate sponsorship is also the support for the Alberta Geomatics Group Scholarship Fund, a legacy scholarship that has been initiated this year, awarding $1,000 to a student in geomatics studies. With an average of over 8,000 hits per month, promotion on our website can provide your company valuable exposure.
